How Gravity Built the World's Fastest Jet Suit

Fantastic video from WIRED on how Gravity built the world's fastest jet suit, with commentary from Founder and ex-Royal Marine Richard Browning. In this 7-minute video, he shares some of the issues and challenges he faced in designing and engineering the prototype and developing the suit to its current iteration.


One example is the form of thrust used to propel himself, where he settled on gas turbines. He talks about his experimentation process, which involved a lot of trial and error and learning from what he called his "safe fails" to the point where he achieved flight.
